“The Liebster Award is for bloggers with under 300 followers and the rules of the award is that the nominee must link back to whoever awarded them, write 11 random facts about themselves, answer the 11 questions from the award giver, and then nominate another 11 bloggers and make up 11 questions for them to answer. It’s a great way for new and undiscovered bloggers to meet new people, get more followers and find some blogs that they want to follow.”

I was very kindly given a Liebster award from my friend at A Girl Called Boz

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be an Actress, but I am so incredibly shy I couldn’t even bring myself to go to drama club at school.

What colour do you think best represents you?

Definitely green, it’s a colour that speaks to my soul. The crazy thing is I hardly have any clothes which are green! But I suppose my allotment and garden makes up for it.

Tells us about a hobby that you might not normally mention on your blog?

I’m a very spiritual person so my beliefs and path never get mentioned. Mainly because religion causes to many wars and arguments. I believe “do what you will, but hurt none”

What is your favourite part of you?

That’s a really tough question, I am grateful to have a happy healthly body, well apart from a very dodgy back. Ermm I’m English we don’t really blow our own trumpets. I guess my favourite part is my eyes as they are identical to my daughters.

Tea or coffee?

Coffee in the morning and at work. But a cup of strong sweet tea when I am at home. I don’t like to associate tea with work.

What’s your earliest memory?

I can remember quite a lot, I have lots of memories at my Nans house, we lived there when I was about 3-4 years old. My Grand Dad who I used to call Berty, was an artist and a Gardener. He was such a lovely gentle man. He would listen to opera whilst painting and gardening and I would sit and watch and join in the music. It made him laugh, I loved making him smile.

What are you scared of?

I’m terrified of something happening to my daughter, a trip or a fall or worse so I am guilty of wrapping her in cotton wool. Gosh it’s hard letting them go and do things. Sometimes I lie awake at night and have panic attacks about all the things that might happen if we go somewhere. Maybe it’s natural for a parent to be like this? I don’t know…

What’s you’re view like right now?

I’m sat in my conservatory looking out into my garden, it’s a rather dull morning, but over the hill next to us there is the promise of some blue sky. Oh the sun has just come out, nice!

Who do you admire/Who inspires you?

Anyone who can follow their dreams. Strong people with passion for their hobbies. As far as famous people go, I love watching a show in the UK called ‘gardeners world’ and there is a lady called Carol Klein, she is my hero! Actually she rang me on my birthday and sang happy birthday! It was so lovely of her, she has so much passion for gardening and has written so many excellent books!

What’s your current obsession?

Hmmm I’m doing a lot of research at the moment into climbing plants for a paper I am going to write. I’m also kind of obsessed with my harvest, and different ways to store it for the winter.
