Naughty snails and their rather beautiful shells

Snails are a problem at the moment in the UK following the bad wet weather we have had.

I had to resort to using the blue pellets in my polytunnel as my friendly toad family died during the winter.

I use snail shells as eye protectors on the tops of garden canes! Looks pretty and natural and serves as a warning to the naughty snails I’m not to be crossed this year!

Some may think it’s a bit grim, but their shells are rather pretty and so are my daughters eyes and I don’t want those beautiful eyes hurt when she bends over to pick a flower, so this is what I do with snail shells!

Just a quick idea maybe for your plot too?

Happy gardening. X
